On Sunday 22nd Dec we celebrated our annual Christmas spectacular show and it was nothing short of amazing! Our theme was “Christmas around the World” and our cabin crew took us safely from country to country.
We started off with our flight crew fully dressed in their flight attendant uniforms ready to take charge, our first stop was England and whew was that country cold… We then moved on to some warmer weather. We went to South America to the country of Guyana and boy O’ boy the Guyanese surely know how to celebrate Christmas, they had Pepperpot, black cake and some delicious ginger beer.
Since we were in Guyana, we decided to do some Island hopping and headed over to the twin Island of Trinidad and Tobago and listened to some Parang and steelpan music. We then went to the Spice Island of Grenada and had some Sorrel drink and some coconut drops, hmmm that was so delicious. Jamaica was our next stop and they did not disappoint; they had the Reggae Christmas carolers and some Christmas cake. We then went on to Haiti and Cuba.
The United States of America was our next stop and one of our Youth took us through with a beautiful poem and we got to see how busy New York City was at Christmas.
South Africa, Asia and the Middle East where we were educated on how they spend their Christmas. We have a very diverse congregation and this is why we took a trip around the world to know how our fellow brothers and sisters celebrate Christmas in their culture. Christmas around the World was both educational and entertaining.
